Andhra Pradesh Notifies Industrial Relations Rules, 2026 Under Labour Codes Framework

The Andhra Pradesh Government has notified the Industrial Relations (Andhra Pradesh) Rules, 2026 under the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, replacing the existing state rules relating to industrial disputes, trade unions and standing orders. The Rules establish the procedural framework for recognition of negotiating unions, grievance redressal mechanisms, standing orders, conciliation proceedings, strikes, lock-outs, retrenchment, lay-offs and closures, while also enabling extensive use of electronic filings and digital record-keeping.
