Government Issues Advisory on Standard Pack Sizes for Edible Oils

The Ministry of Consumer Affairs has issued an advisory amending the Standard Operating Procedure for edible oils, introducing standardized packaging requirements for major oils. Major edible oils including palm, soybean, sunflower, and mustard must now be sold in specified pack sizes ranging from 200g to 20kg. A three-month transition period has been provided for manufacturers, packers, and importers to comply with the new packaging norms.
