Madhya Pradesh Publishes Draft Fire and Hazard Prevention Rules for Shops and Establishments

The Madhya Pradesh Labour Department has published draft Fire and Hazard Prevention Rules, 2026, under the MP Shops and Establishments Act, 1958. These rules mandate fire safety equipment, emergency exits, electrical safety measures, and periodic fire drills for all registered shops and commercial establishments in the state. Public objections and suggestions are invited within seven days of publication, and the rules will come into force upon publication in the Official Gazette.
