SEBI extends PaRRVA enrolment deadline to September 2026

SEBI extended the deadline for Investment Advisers (IAs) and Research Analysts (RAs) to enrol with the Past Risk and Return Verification Agency (PaRRVA) from August 3, 2026 to September 3, 2026 via circular dated August 1, 2026. IAs and RAs must complete PaRRVA enrolment if they intend to communicate certified past performance data to clients and prospective clients, following PaRRVA's operationalization on May 4, 2026. The extension was granted following industry representations requesting additional implementation time. This requirement applies to all SEBI-regulated intermediaries, investment advisers, and research analysts who communicate performance metrics. The circular was issued under Section 11(1) of the SEBI Act, 1992, and the relevant intermediary regulations. Businesses in the advisory and research space must ensure compliance by the new September deadline to avoid regulatory action.
